In a world obsessed with productivity, the siesta is a pause that refuses to justify itself. It is time freed from purpose, from utility, from the pressure to be useful. A suspension of doing — and a return to simply being.

This painting is an invitation to stop. To contemplate. To remember that the most human thing we can do is sometimes nothing at all.
