Aries, Aries, Cancer.

I wrote Aries, Aries, Cancer as a migrant, as a caregiver, as someone going through grief and creating art. This book began to take shape in 2020. The chapters recount the different stages we went through after discovering that my partner has brain cancer, my father suffered a stroke in Argentina, and the pandemic hit us all. It is a book with humour — uncomfortable and comforting at the same time. It is a vulnerable and honest account of those times.

This book came out in Spanish first because it is my native language, and second because it is who I "really" am. The English version would not have been possible without the help of Anna Tyrrel and Darcy Molan, who generously offered to review my translation and Juanma Luoni's translation in Argentina.

A book is a process that, unlike what many may believe, is not made alone. The story is one, yes — but without the editors, the prologue, the design, the layout, and the printing, it simply does not exist. These people gave it shape, love, and accompanied me for two long years to bring it to light: Iguen (Victoria) Patrignani, Melina Belén Agostini Medina, Ignacio Agostini Allende, and Silvia Demetilla.

We have also decided that, through the sale of books, we'll raise money to support the Peter Mac Foundation and its ongoing research into curing cancer.

The book launches in November. An invitation will find its way to you soon.

That day I will be very scared, and I will need company! The best part? It will be held at an Argentine venue!

A big hug! Sole.
